International Women’s Day, is observed on March 8th every year, is a global celebration that honors the achievements of women throughout history, while also raising awareness about the ongoing challenges they face.
Next month I will be celebrating my own achievement of 16 years in business.
While celebrating achievements is crucial, it’s also important to acknowledge the persistent challenges that women face. Issues such as gender-based violence, unequal access to education and healthcare, and workplace discrimination continue to hinder progress towards gender equality.
International Women’s Day is not just a day of reflection; it’s a call to action. Which could involve implementing policies that promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and supporting women-owned businesses.
How will you be celebrating?
